Location. Set in a converted 14th century building on the banks of the River Salzach, the Hotel Stein in Salzburg, Austria, is 200 metres from Mozart's birthplace and within 500 metres of the Rupertinum Modern Art Gallery. Salzburg Airport (SZG) is two kilometres away.

From Salzburg Airport (SZG):
Distance to the Hotel Stein is two kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The number 2 bus runs between the airport and Salzburg's main train station (Hauptbahnhof) every 10 minutes. Single tickets cost 1.80 EUR. There are buses to Bavaria and Tyrol. Taxis to the city centre cost about 15 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Overlooking the River Salzach, the Hotel Stein is in Giselakai, 200 metres from Mozart's birthplace. Salzburg's city centre is best explored on foot. The city is served by an inexpensive tram and bus system, and there are numerous cycle paths. Driving is not advised for visitors, and cars are not allowed in some areas of the Old Town.
