The Copenhagen Island is a modern glass fronted hotel located on an island in the harbour, one kilometre from the National Gallery. The 326 guestrooms feature light, modern Scandinavian style decor and are equipped with satellite television, direct dial phones, wireless Internet connections, minibars, irons and ironing boards.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Harbour restaurant serves a selection of International dishes in a relaxed and informal setting. After a day's sightseeing or business, guests can relax with a drink in the bar, unwind in the sauna or work up a sweat on the fitness equipment. Snacks and drinks can be ordered via room service (limited hours). Staff on the 24 hour front desk can arrange dry cleaning services and offer advice on the hotel and the surrounding area. Visitors will find the National Museum one kilometre away and the Christiansborg Palace and Tivoli Gardens amusement park within 1.5 kilometres. There are direct trains to Copenhagen Central Station every ten minutes. Taxis are readily available from ranks at Terminal 3 East and Terminal 1, Halls 3 and 6. Buses nos. 9, 250S and 500S run from the airport to the city centre and beyond until midnight daily. The city's public transport system comprises a metro rail network called S train, and a bus system called HT. There is also a new underground metro system and numerous cycle paths.
Driving directions: From the airport follow signs to the city centre, and then follow signs for Copenhagen Island.
