Location. Situated on a hill amidst an idyllic seven acre pine grove, the Hotel Le Mas des Ecureuils is a small, modern Proven�al country house hotel located four kilometres from the centre of Aix en Provence and 10 kilometres from Mount Saint Victoire. Marseille Provence Airport is 15 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.
Hotel Features.The hotel's outdoor pool features a furnished poolside area, with hammocks strung between pine trees offering guests the chance to laze amidst Proven�al nature. This landscape can be further explored in the seven acre pine grove surrounding the hotel, and there is a bowls ground, ping pong tables, a fully equipped solarium, and a steam bath. Multilingual staff can answer tourist enquiries, and other amenities include free parking.
La Carraire Restaurant at Hotel Le Mas des Ecureuils is a typical Proven�al restaurant, using local produce to create characteristic local cuisine. Decorated in warm Mediterranean colours with a terracotta tiled floor, the restaurant opens on to a pine fringed terrace open during the summer months.
Guestrooms.The 24 guestrooms, located on one floor, are individually decorated in a simple Proven�al style, with finely crafted modern furnishings and co ordinated patterned fabrics. All include air conditioning, minibars, coffee and tea makers, direct dial telephones, hair dryers, satellite television and high speed Internet connections.
Expert Tip.Located 10 kilometres from the hotel is Mount Saint Victoire, where the breathtaking play of Proven�al light and shade inspired the great post impressionist artist C�zanne to paint several of his greatest canvasses.

Getting there. Shuttle buses run every 20 minutes from the airport to Aix en Provence bus station, four kilometres from the hotel. A taxi from the airport will cost approximately 40 EUR. The immediate area around the hotel is best explored on foot, while central Aix en Provence is a short taxi ride away.
