The Hotel des Colonies is housed in a former 19th century residence on a quiet boutique lined street in central Nantes, 300 metres from the historic Passage Pommeraye. The 38 guestrooms are decorated with bright fabrics, wooden furniture, and large windows. All are equipped with Internet connections, satellite, flat screen television, and direct dial phones.
An art gallery in the hotel lobby holds monthly exhibitions, where a wide selection of French works can be viewed. Guests can make use of the breakfast services (fee) and the nearby, secure parking. Those wishing to explore the area can consult the multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk for tour assistance. Wireless Internet is available in the lobby. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are several nearby, including Brasserie La Cigale and Restaurant La Baderioc. Attractions in the vicinity include the chic boutiques surrounding the hotel; the theatre and the banks of the Loire, 500 metres away, and the Isle of Feydeau, which is 700 metres from the hotel. The Museum of Fine Art is within two kilometres of the hotel. The nearest airport is Nantes Atlantique Airport, which is 15 kilometres from the hotel. Taxis are available outside the terminal building. The Tan Air Shuttle links the airport with the city and is arranged to meet scheduled flights. Tan Air is linked to the city bus and tramway network, stopping at Vincent Gache Boulevard, Commerce Square and the Cit� des Congr�s Convention Centre before terminating at the SNCF train station. This service runs Monday to Saturday and 15:45 22:40 on Sundays.
