Location. The Hotel Beim Schupi Karlsruhe is a rustic styled hotel located on the northern fringe of the Black Forest in Karlsruhe, Germany, two kilometres from the city centre and three kilometres from Karlsruhe Castle. The main railway station is 3.5 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. A 19th century country house style building, renovated in 2007, the hotel has a large beer garden with mature trees, and a small brook where guests can enjoy summer evening barbecues while children play in the garden's playground. The hotel also houses theatre and hosts theatrical events every weekend, alongside regular concerts, quizzes and karaoke evenings. There is complimentary wireless Internet throughout the hotel, and complimentary parking is available on site.
Restaurant Beim Schupi serves seasonal home made specialities from the Baden region, and is open for dinner Monday to Saturday. The Biergarten Beim Schupi hosts barbecues on summer evenings between May and September, with the regional specialities and draught beer flowing all day on Sundays.
Guestrooms. Decorated and furnished in a rustic Black Forest style, the 35 guestrooms all include complimentary wireless Internet access, cable television, hair dryers, and complimentary bottled water.
Expert Tip. On fine summer days, locals head for the Schlosspark, a large park just north of the castle, where a quaint steam train weaves its way through the picturesque gardens at weekends and on public holidays.

From Frankfurt Airport (FRA):
Distance to Hotel Beim Schupi Karlsruhe is 115 kilometres, approximately 75 minutes' drive.
Getting there. There are two passenger railway stations at Frankfurt airport: the Fernbahnhof (long distance) station and the Regional train station. Both can be accessed by a Sky Line monorail or a shuttle bus. Lines S8 and S9 of the S Bahn go to the Hauptbahnhof (central station). Karlsruhe main railway station can be reached either from the Hauptbahnhof or directly from the airport. From Karlsruhe main railway station, take bus service 62 to the hotel's stop on Blohnstrasse.
Getting around. Karlsruhe is served by an excellent public transport system incorporating trams and buses. Bus service 62 connects the hotel with the city centre. Karlsruhe main railway station is 3.5 kilometres from the hotel, and offers good links to other German cities on ICE high speed trains.
Driving directions. Depart Frankfurt Airport taking motorway 5, direction Basel Karlsruhe.
Follow the A5 to Karlsruhe.
Take exit Karlsruhe Mitte and follow directions to Karlsruhe Stadtmitte.
Take Exit 6 and turn left at the traffic lights, direction Grunwinkel.
Turn right at the second street into Durmersheimer Strasse.
