The Hilton Weimar is a modern chateau style hotel sited opposite Goethe Park, 1.5 kilometres from the city centre. This six floor hotel features 294 air conditioned guestrooms, all of which have understated decor with colour co ordinated fabrics, and offer views of Goethe Park or the courtyard. All include satellite television, wireless Internet access, minibars and bathrooms with shower/tub combinations, hair dryers and complimentary toiletries.
Park views, regional dishes and Thuringian buffets are offered at the Esplanade restaurant, which also provides a special children's buffet and kids' games on Sundays. The Kolonnaden Bar serves speciality coffee, cocktails, and in summer drinks are served in the garden. Guests can sample draught German beer and enjoy a few games of ten pin bowling in the aptly named Bistro & Bowling pub. More health conscious guests can tone up in the fitness room or swim laps in the indoor pool, and then unwind in the hot tub or sauna and enjoy refreshing fruit juices at the pool bar. Those in need of some pampering can arrange an appointment at the hotel's beauty centre, which offers a range of indulgent treatments, including massage and Ayurvedic therapies (surcharges apply). Staff at the 24 hour front desk can exchange currency, store valuables in the safe deposit box, and provide tips on local sightseeing opportunities. Motorists will find 90 outdoor parking spaces and a parking garage beneath the hotel (surcharges apply). Weimar was home to Goethe, Nietzsche and Liszt, and several museums and monuments dedicated to these cultural figures can be found within three kilometres of the hotel. Weimar was also the birthplace of the Bauhaus architectural movement, and visitors can explore its history and influence at the Bauhaus Museum, 1.5 kilometres away. Erfurt Airport is 40 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 40 minutes.

Taxis are readily available outside the terminal (typical fare to the hotel 45 EUR). Alternatively, there is an airport bus that connects to the underground system, as well as tram connections. Weimar is well served by buses. A three day Weimar Card costs 10 EUR and provides unlimited travel on all buses, as well as admission to most of the museums and sights. A six day card costs 15 EUR. Taxis are also available and are reasonably priced.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the A73 in the direction of the A4. On the A4, follow signs for Dresden and exit at Weimar. Follow signs for Weimar. In Weimar, take the second traffic lights, turning right at the Belvederer Allee crossing. The hotel is on the right.
