The Petra is a small hotel situated on a sloping street in the center of Agia Galini. It is within 150 meters of the fishing harbor and port. The 37 guestrooms are decorated in a traditional Greek style in blue and white. All have balconies or terraces and music channels. Air conditioning, satellite television and refrigerators are also available on request.
Although the hotel does not have its own restaurant, a buffet breakfast is served each morning, and there are several dining options within the surrounding area. Guests can relax in the lounge or on the terrace, enjoy a swim in the outdoor pool, or take in the mountain views over a drink at the poolside bar. Free onsite parking is available. The hotel makes an ideal base to explore the area: the Valsamonero Monastery is 13 kilometers away and the Necropolis of Armeni is 31 kilometers away. The Zaros Lake and trout farms, Stone Age caves, Minoan Palace, Arcadi Monastery, and Rethymnon town and fortress are also all within reach of Agia Galini. Iraklion airport is approximately 120 minutes driving time and distance of 90 kilometers.
