Location. Hotel Bella Maris is a modern resort complex set in landscaped gardens around an outdoor pool and situated by the sea 22 kilometres from the Cretan capital of Heraklion. Hersonissos Port is three kilometres from the hotel and Knossos Palace is 30 kilometres away. Heraklion Airport is 22 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
Hotel Features. A full programme of entertainment is organised for adults ranging from Greek language lessons to Cretan cooking classes. There is a private sandy 150 metre beach with complimentary sun loungers and parasols. The hotel has an outdoor and an indoor pool and children are catered for with a playground, their own swimming pool and daily supervised activities. There is a sauna, fitness equipment, a jetted tub and aqua gym sessions. ATM banking, a dry cleaning service and laundry facilities are all available.
The Hotel Bella Maris has three restaurants and three bars.
Recreational opportunities include swimming, tennis, beach volleyball, basketball, windsurfing and water skiing.
Guestrooms. The 159 air conditioned guestrooms are located over three floors and have simple Greek style decor in cream and blue. Guestrooms open on to balconies and include satellite television, wireless Internet, direct dial phones, coffee and tea making facilities and refrigerators. Bathrooms provide hair dryers.
Expert Tip. Pretty Hersonissos harbour is well worth a visit for its lively bars and tavernas, which line the waterfront.
