The Lydia Maris is a large modern resort complex designed in a village style and set in extensive flower and plant filled gardens. Located on the east coast of the island, the hotel is 250 metres from Kolymbia Beach, 25 kilometres from Rhodes Town. The complex 155 air conditioned guestrooms have a light decor with patterned fabrics, cool tiled floors and simple modern furnishings. All open out on to garden verandas and are complete with cable television, direct dial phones and minibars. Bathrooms have hairdryers and complimentary toiletries. The All Inclusive rate plan includes all meals, snacks, refreshments, use of resort facilities and a full programme of entertainment.
The informal buffet style restaurant offers a range of international dishes, and vegetarians and children are well catered for. If guests can't tear themselves away from the pool, an extensive self service buffet of hot and cold snacks is served at the pool restaurant during the day. Guests can bronze on the loungers on the sunny poolside terraces and sip cocktails at the circular island bar in the centre of the pool. Children are well catered for with a kid's pool, playground and mini club with trained staff, while adults can enjoy entertainment night and day including competitions, weekly Greek nights and folk dancing, or dance into the early hours at the nightclub. Guests can hire mountain bikes to explore the surrounding country paths, play water polo, tennis, volleyball or table tennis, or head down to the beach and take to the water in canoes. There is a fitness room and sauna, pool bar and main indoor bar with satellite TV, supermarket, jewellery shop and currency exchange. Room service is available (fee) and there is an Internet corner. Parking at the hotel is free. The hotel is surrounded by a wealth of activities and attractions including beaches and an 18 hole golf course (seven kilometres), and the towns of Kallithea, Lindos and Rhodes are within 25 kilometres. The hotel is located 30 kilometres from Rhodes Airport.
