Location. Punctuating the west coast of Phuket Island, the Centara Karon Resort Phuket is a lively destination for international travelers and romantics. Located on the south side of Karon Beach, this resort is a three minute walk from the surf of the Andaman Sea and 15 km from Phuket Town. Celebrating couples are drawn to the hotel and captivated by the flawless white beach that extends 1,200 meters long.

Hotel Features. Designed to resemble a tropical rainforest, the hotel grounds are decorated with vibrant gardens, bending palms, natural sculptures and ceramic art. The multi level splash pool is fed by a waterfall and eventually cascades into a smaller pool that tapers off as it reaches the Chillies restaurant. With handmade ceramic tables and east meets west cuisine, Chillies is the hotel's showcase dining venue, where chefs use high grade ingredients and deliver stunning food presentations.

Guestrooms. The fashionable guestrooms feature bright walls, beautiful wood accents and creative light fixtures. With free standing wash basins and marble vanities and designer bath products, the private bathrooms exude an air of sophistication. Guestroom amenities include refrigerators, high speed Internet access and private balconies.

Expert Tip. In the hotel's gift shop, guests can purchase original stoneware ceramics that were fashioned using Phuket clay a material that is indigenous to the island. Also available for purchase, the shop carries fine spa products such as massage oil and aromatic candles that were made from coconut trees.

Gala Dinner:

The hotel hosts a gala dinner on December 31, 2007. Guests are charged for the dinner regardless of whether they attend. Fees for the dinner are collected by the hotel at check in.
