The Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor is a three storey Victorian hotel set on a tree lined West End terrace, half a mile from the Botanic Gardens and Kelvingrove Museum. The 96 guestrooms are all equipped with PlayStations, high speed Internet connections, cable television with pay movies, direct dial phones, coffee and tea making facilities, and bathrooms with robes and complimentary toiletries.
Diners can sample an innovative fusion of Scottish and Mediterranean flavours in the informal West End restaurant, which also serves Scottish and continental buffet breakfasts. The railway station in Paisley is two miles from the airport a few minutes away by taxi or ten minutes by bus. There are eight trains an hour from Monday to Saturday and five trains an hour on Sundays from Paisley to Glasgow Central rail station. Taxis are available 24 hours a day from in front of the main terminal building. Shuttle buses also run to central Glasgow and take about 20 minutes. Bus services are frequent and reliable; tickets can be bought on board. After midnight there are night bus services around the city leaving from George Square. Taxis are also readily available.
Driving directions: From the airport, take M8 motorway, heading for Glasgow City Centre, then take the Clyde Tunnel junction. After the tunnel, follow the city centre slip road, then signs for Partick/Meadowside. Follow Byres Road for about 1/2 mile. Hotel is on the left.
